Patna, March 21, 2025: The day after, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar allegedly insulted the national anthem. Jan Suraj Party Chief Prashant Kishor launched a scathing attack on the BJP leadership, claiming that PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are aware of Nitish Kumar’s declining to back him as Chief Minister.

Prashant Kishor’s Allegations:

Speaking to the journalists in Hajipur during the Jan Suraj Udghosh Yatra, Kishor said: “Nitish Kumar’s mental condition has been questionable for the last few years. For the past two months, I have urged the government to conduct a medical evaluation of Nitish Kumar and release a report to the public.”

“Despite knowing about Nitish Kumar’s deteriorating condition, PM Modi and Amit Shah are backing him to run Bihar as the Chief Minister.”

Concerns over CM’s behavior:

Prashant Kishor referenced Nitish Kumar’s behavior during the national anthem at a Patna event, where he talked to his Principal Secretary while the anthem played; he was also gesturing and greeting people with folded hands, appearing distracted.

Kishor predicted: “If Nitish Kumar continues appearing in public, such incidents will keep happening.”

This comes amid opposition demands for Nitish Kumar’s resignation and legal action over the anthem controversy.

RJD and Tejashwi Yadav have announced statewide protests on Saturday and a march to Raj Bhavan on Sunday if he does not apologize publicly.

A legal case has already been filed in the Muzaffarpur Court against the Bihar CM.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has come under intense scrutiny following an incident where he was seen conversing and greeting attendees during the national anthem at a sports event in Patna.

This behavior has led to widespread criticism from various political figures and parties.
