Patna, September 11, 2025, Jan Suraaj Party curator Prashant Kishor on Thursday hit back at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his remark that Kishor was not his focus.

Reacting to it, Prashant Kishor sarcastically said, “Rahul Gandhi is a big man. His focus is on Narendra Modi and the country, and not on the youth of Bihar. He is the son of a Prime Minister. How will Prashant Kishor or Bihar come into his focus? Rahul Gandhi is concerned for Lalu Yadav’s son Tejashwi Yadav, while I am concerned for the youth of Bihar. My concern is that migration from Bihar must stop.”

Prashant Kishor’s statement on candidate selection:

On the issue of candidate selection in his proposed Jan Suraaj Party, Kishor clarified, “There is a fee of Rs 21,000 for applying for candidature. But here, unlike the BJP, the RJD, or the Congress, tickets will not be sold. The public will decide who the candidate of Jan Suraaj becomes.”

Making major promises, Kishor said, “From December 2025, every man and woman above 60 years will receive a monthly pension of Rs 2,000. Until government schools improve, the state will bear the private school fees of all children under 15 years, so even the poor can study in English Medium schools.”

Prashant Kishor claimed this Diwali and Chhath will be the last plight of Bihari youth:

He further said, “By the end of this year, the last Diwali and Chhath of Bihar’s plight. 50 lakh youth who migrated for jobs will be brought back and given local employment of Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000.

Prashant Kishor positioned himself as the only leader addressing Bihar’s core issues, contrasting himself with national leaders focusing on power politics.
