Patna, August 4, 2025: Hours after CM Nitish Kumar announced the implementation of domicile policy in Bihar, Jan Suraj Party’s curator Prashant Kishor called it a victory of the people, but questioned the government’s intent.
“For 20 years, they ignored it. Now that they sense the public mood has turned against them, they are bringing in domicile and increasing pensions. But the people won’t be fooled. The removal of Lalu-Nitish is now certain,” he said while interacting with the media persons in Kaimur.
Prashant Kishor addressed a large gathering in Chainpur’s Kisan Inter College Ground during Bihar Badlav Yatra on Monday.
Prashant Kishor on Tejashwi’s dual voter ID row:
Commenting on the controversy around Tejashwi Yadav’s alleged dual voter IDs, Prashant Kishor said, “Tejashwi said his name was deleted. Now the Election Commission says he has two voter IDs. That matter is between him and the commission. The public is more concerned about jobs and education.”
Prashant Kishor appealed to voters to vote for their children:
Urging voters to break from personality-driven politics, Kishor said, “This time, don’t vote looking at the faces of Lalu, Nitish or Modi. Vote, thinking about your children’s future. Vote for education and employment.”
He pledged that this would be the last Diwali and Chhath of Bihar’s distress, promising that from December 2025, youth will no longer have to migrate for low-paying jobs.
We’ll bring back 50 lakh youth from across the country and provide them jobs here with salaries of Rs 10—12,000.
In a bold move, Prashant Kishor also promised Rs 2,000 monthly pension for every man and woman age 60 and above starting December 2025.
