Patna. August 5, 2025: Jan Suraj Party founder Prashant Kishor launched a fierce attack on Union Home Minister Amit Shah during his visit to Sitamarhi, accusing him of maintaining a conspicuous silence over incidents of alleged harassment against Bihari youth in Maharashtra, where the BJP is in power.

Kishor addressed a massive public gathering at Dumra Football Ground as part of his ongoing Bihar Badlaav Yatra, which is focused on mobilizing public support against what he calls decades of political betrayal in Bihar.

“On behalf of the people of Bihar, my question to Amit Shah is—why did he not say a single word when Bihari youths were being victimized in Maharashtra? There is a BJP government there. You were silent then, but now you want to come to Sitamarhi and give speeches to seek votes? No one is going to believe this,” Kishor said while addressing the media after the rally.

He also took aim at national leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi, stating that none of them spends a single night in Bihar except during elections.

Prashant Kishor targeted BJP over voter list controversy:

Prashant Kishor also criticized the Election Commission, alleging that under the BJP’s pressure, it is manipulating the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls to delete names of the poor, deprived, and Muslim voters.

“No one should be afraid. The Supreme Court has already made it clear—if you have Aadhaar, you have the right to vote. The Election Commission has no authority to decide anyone’s citizenship,” Kishor stated.

He added that Jan Suraj would legally fight for those whose names are removed, but asserted that “even those left will be enough to defeat the BJP.”

Domicile policy is ‘False Propaganda’:

Prashant Kishor dismissed the Nitish Kumar government’s changes to the domicile policy for teacher recruitment as electoral gimmickry.

“This policy change has only been notified for TRE-4. Earlier, three lakh teachers were recruited, most of them from outside Bihar. Before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Nitish Kumar altered the policy in hopes of becoming Prime Minister, thereby denying Bihari youths their rightful opportunities.” He alleged.

He changed the government to ensure 100% reservation for Bihari candidates if it truly intends to implement a domicile-based recruitment system.
