Prashant Kishor calls for political change in Bihar and urges voters to reject old leadership.

Patna, June 2, 2025: Political strategist-turned-Jan Suraj Party chief Prashant Kishor, launched a sharp attack on Bihar’s political stalwarts Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a massive public meeting held in East Champaran on Monday.

Addressing the supporters, Kishor delivered a clarion call for political transformation in Bihar, stating that the state is ready to bid farewell to its old and failed leadership.

Prashant Kishor urged voters to vote for building Bihar:

Focusing on industrial development and employment, Kishor questioned why factories are being set up in Surat while the youth of Bihar continue to migrate for work.

“The vote belongs to Bihar. Then why should the factory be set up in Surat? Why not in Bihar?” he asked the crowd.

The response was a unanimous call for local development, as thousands of attendees voiced their support for establishing industries within the state.

In a symbolic moment during the rally, Kishor posed a direct question to the crowd: “Do you want to make Nitish Kumar the Chief Minister again?” the resounding chants of “No” and raised hands sent a clear message.

“Even if Prime Minister Modi asks for votes for him,” Kishor said, emphasizing the need to end dynastic and personality-driven politics in Bihar.

End of the Era of Lalu, Nitish and Modi:

Calling for a new political thinking, Kishor asserted: “This election should be about the future of Bihar not about Lalu, Nitish, or Modi. This is your vote, your future. Bihar deserves leadership that works for its people, not for political preservation.”

He urged voters to support new and people-centric leadership that prioritizes education, employment, healthcare, and industry in the state.

Prashant Kishor’s speech is being viewed as a strategic turning point in the build-up to the 2025 Bihar assembly elections, where public frustration is increasingly evident. His grassroots campaign, under the Jan Suraj banner, has been gaining momentum in rural and semi-urban areas across the state.

“The time has come to establish the rule of the people not the rule of Nitish, Lalu, or Modi,” Kishor reiterated.
