Prashant Kishor accuses PM Modi of bias against Bihar, and calls for clean politics in upcoming elections.

Patna, June 13, 2025: On a one-day visit to Gaya district as part of his ongoing ‘Bihar Badlaav Yatra,’ Jan Suraj leader Prashant Kishor launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of discriminating against Bihar in policy decisions and development priorities.

Prashant Kishor questions the intent of the Centre:

Addressing a press conference, Kishor referred to the Prime Minister’s recent announcement in Madhubani, where he promised a new Shramik train from Saharsa.

Prashant Kishor questioned the intent behind such promises. “I challenge the Prime Minister if he truly believes in fairness, let him announce Shramik trains from Gujarat to Tamil Nadu.

He won’t do that, because he knows such a move would cost him votes Gujarat has been gifted with Gift City, solar Parks, and a Bullet Train, and Bihar continues to be offered Shramik trains, which he described as a symbolic of forced migration.

“Bihar doesn’t need trains where our youth travel likes animals to work in other states. What we need is a robust education system and employment opportunities,” he added.

Push for transparent candidate selection:

Prashant Kishor also made a key announcement regarding candidate selection for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, vowing that Jan Suraj will give tickets only to candidates with clean images.

“If by chance a wrong gets a ticket, I appeal to the people of Bihar not to vote for him,” Kishor said, adding that the party aims to uphold integrity above all.

Citing the example of UPSC Kishor remarked that even the most rigorous processes are not foolproof.

“UPSC selects IAS and IPS officers through a tough and competitive exam, yet not all of them remain honest in service. Similarly, we will try our best, but public scrutiny and accountability are crucial,” Kishor said.

Prashant Kishor concluded by reiterating Jan Suraj’s mission:

“Our aim is not just to win elections, but to win Bihar. People with clean images should win on all 243 seats regardless of party. Jan Suraj is committed to that vision.”
