Patna, August 25, 2025: The political circles of Bihar were abuzz on Monday after posters featuring Nishant Kumar and his father Nitish Kumar, the Chief Minister of Bihar, appeared on the streets of the state capital.
The posters, put up by JDU workers and supporters, openly advocated for Nishant Kumar to take over charge of the party and carry forward the political legacy of his father.
Call for Nishant Kumar to join active politics:
Banti Kumar Chandravanshi, a JDU worker, said, Nishant should take over the charge of JDU. He is a well-educated engineer and fully qualified. Just as Nitish Kumar used social engineering to transform Bihar in the last 20 years, Nishant will also follow the same path.”
Chandravanshi added that both father and son share a clean and honest image, and the youth of the state are awaiting Nishant’s entry into politics.
Workers press for leadership change:
JDU worker Saurav Kumar said, “We have been urging Nishant to take charge of JDU in the interest of Bihar. The youths want him to contest elections and take responsibility for the party. Just as Nitish Kumar successfully ran the state government, Nishant Kumar would do the same in the future.”
The posters, displayed at the JDU office in Patna, carried slogans such as “New generation of honesty and public service, the legacy of public service will now move forward and Son of Vikas Purush, future of Bihar—Nishant Kumar”.
