New Delhi, January 3, 2026: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 72nd National Volleyball Championship on January 4, 2026, at 12 noon through video conferencing.

The inaugural ceremony will take place at Dr. Sampurnanand Sports Stadium, Varanasi.

The event will be held in PM Narendra Modi’s Lok Sabha constituency:

The prestigious national-level tournament will be held from January 4 to January 11, 2026, and will witness the participation of more than 1,000 players representing 58 teams from various states and institutions across the country.

The championship is expected to showcase a high level of competition, sportsmanship, and emerging talent, reflecting the growing strength of Indian volleyball at the national level.
