PM Narendra Modi targets RJD and Congress in Karakat and unveils Rs 48,500 crore projects.

Patna, May 30, 2025: On the second day of his two-day visit to Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a massive public gathering in Karakat, launching a sharp attack on the Congress-RJD alliance and unveiling infrastructure projects worth Rs 48,500 crore aimed at transforming the state.
PM Narendra Modi criticized Lalu Prasad Yadav:
Without directly taking the name of Lalu Prasad Yadav, PM Narendra Modi criticized past governments, accusing them of exploiting the poor and backward class of Bihar.
“Those who betrayed the people of Bihar, whose governance forced the poor and farmers to migrate, are now trying to sell false promises in the name of social justice,” he said.
PM Narendra Modi accused the previous regimes of leaving Dalits and backward communities in decades of neglect.
“There were no toilets, no bank accounts, and no roofs over people’s heads. The very people who used to showcase Bihar’s poverty to foreigners are now pretending to care about the marginalized,” PM Modi said.
Calling this neglect the “greatest injustice” PM Narendra Modi said, “RJD and Congress never cared for the Dalits and backward classes. Now that these communities have turned their backs on them, they are scrambling to reclaim the narrative of social justice.”
PM Narendra Modi emphasized that a new dawn of true social justice has emerged under the NDA government, citing initiatives that aim to bring essential services to 100% of beneficiaries. “We have working to bring banking, electricity, housing and toilets to every corner of Bihar,” he asserted.
PM Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of Rs 48,500 crore projects:
He also highlighted key infrastructure milestones during his visit, including the inauguration of the new terminal building at Patna Airport, which now has the capacity to handle 1 crore passengers annually.

He added that an investment of Rs 1400 crore is also made at Bihta Airport to further expand aviation infrastructure in the state.
PM Narendra Modi also spotlighted Bihar’s agriculture potential, announcing the formation of a Makhana Board and the granting of a GI tag to Bihar’s famed Makhana, saying it has significantly boosted the income of Makhana farmers.
In addition, he mentioned the announcement of a National Institute for Food Processing in Bihar in this year’s Union Budget.
The rally marks a major political and developmental movement in the run-up to the Bihar assembly election.
