Patna, April 4, 2024: RJD leader Chitranjan Gagan on Thursday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not respond to the questions raised by Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav regarding dynastic politics in the NDA during his rally in Jamui.
PM Narendra Modi targeted RJD over dynastic politics:
PM Narendra Modi, while addressing the rally, targeted the Lalu Prasad Yadav family and spoke against dynastic politics in Bihar.
“Tejashwi Yadav had asked questions about dynastic politics within the NDA, but PM Narendra Modi avoided those points in his Jamui rally. He repeated old issues that he has raised several times in the past. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also had nothing new to say except praising the Prime Minister,” Said Gagan.
Earlier in the day, Tejashwi Yadav had questioned the BJP and its allies over “100% dynastic representation” among NDA candidates contesting in the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections in Bihar—covering Jamui, Gaya, Nawada, and Aurangabad.
Yadav alleged that both the BJP and its regional partners had nominated family-based candidates in all four constituencies.
Tejashwi Yadav alleged NDA follows nepotism:
Dynastic candidates in the first phase (as per Tejashwi Yadav).
Jamui—Arun Bharti (LJPR)—son of former MLC Jyoti Paswan; son-in-law of late Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan; brother-in-law of LJPR chief Chirag Paswan. Aurangabad—Sushil Kumar Singh (BJP)—son of former MP Ram Naresh Singh. Gaya—Jitan Ram Manjhi (HAM-Secular)—father of Minister Santosh Kumar Suman; his mother-in-law, Jyoti Devi, is an MLA. Nawada—Vivek Thakur (BJP)—son of former Union Minister Dr. C.P. Thakur.
Tejashwi also listed other NDA leaders allegedly benefitting from dynastic politics across Bihar, including: Ravi Shankar Prasad (Patna Sahib), Shivesh Ram (Sasaram), Chirag Paswan (Hajipur), Shambhavi Choudhary (Samastipur), Lovely Anand (Sheohar), Sunil Kumar (Valmiki Nagar), Sanjay Jaiswal (Paschim Champaran, Ashok Yadav (Madhubani), Veena Devi (LJPR), and Vijay Laxmi Kushwaha (JD-U).
Tejashwi further asked PM Modi to clarify how many factories had been established in Jamui during the last ten years of his government.
