Patna, June 20, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a massive public rally in Siwan, Bihar, inaugurated and led the foundation of development schemes worth Rs. 5,736 crore, asserting that these initiatives will accelerate Bihar’s progress and prosperity.
“I congratulate the people of Bihar for these projects. I have just returned from a foreign tour where global leaders expressed admiration for India’s rapid development. They see India as the next economic superpower—and Bihar will be at the heart of this transformation,” Modi said.
PM Narendra Modi’s sharp attack on RJD:
Without naming RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, the Prime Minister launched a scathing critique of the party’s legacy. Referring to the alleged insult to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, Modi accused the RJD of arrogance and disrespect.
“These people with the lantern and claws are promoters of mafia rule, hooliganism, and corruption. They speak of family support, but their actions have repeatedly hurt the pride of Bihar. They have insulted Baba Saheb Ambedkar and won’t even apologize,” he said.
PM Narendra Modi invoked Bihar’s past under RJD rule, describing it as a time of lawlessness and forced migration.
“Youth today have only heard tales of the jungle raj. The lantern and claw turned Bihar into a symbol of fear and poverty. But the people of Bihar, known for their resilience and self-respect, have changed that narrative,” Modi added.
He praised the NDA government and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for steering Bihar back onto the development track.
“Together, we have built 55,000 km of rural roads, connected over 1.5 crore homes with electricity, and established over 45,000 common service centres. Start-ups are emerging even in small towns,” he noted.
Commitment to Bihar’s future:
Emphasizing continued efforts, Narendra Modi said: “I have done a lot, but I won’t stop here. I have to do much more—for every village, every household, and every youth in Bihar.”
He urged citizens to remain alert against attempts to revive the old era of the jungle raj: “They are waiting for an opportunity to return to power and repeat their misdeeds. You must remain vigilant for your children’s future.”
Poverty reduction and social welfare:
Highlighting the economic transformation under the NDA, Narendra Modi said: “25 crore Indians have been lifted out of poverty in a decade. 4 crore people in Bihar alone have exited extreme poverty. Under Congress-RJD, the poor lacked housing and healthcare.”
“We turned slogans like Garibi Hatao into action. In contrast, previous regimes failed to provide basic dignity to the poor,” Modi asserted.
Narendra Modi ended with a vow of continued service: “I will not sleep peacefully. I will keep working day and night for you and for Bihar.”
