Patna, October 23, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday launched a sharp attack on the opposition in Bihar, asserting that the people of the state will never forget the Jungle Raj era and will not forgive those responsible for it.
Speaking at the “Mera Booth Sabse Majboot Yuva Samwad” program through audio conferencing, PM Narendra Modi said that no matter how much the opposition tries to conceal its past mistakes, the people of Bihar have not forgotten the atmosphere of fear, lawlessness, and corruption that prevailed during their rule.
“The people of Bihar will not forget the Jungle Raj for the next 100 years. No matter how hard they try to hide their misdeeds, the people will never forgive them,” PM Modi said.
His remarks came on the day the Grand Alliance (Mahagathbandhan) declared Tejashwi Yadav as its Chief Ministerial candidate for the upcoming Assembly election.
PM Narendra Modi says opposition alliance is Lathbandhan and not Mahagathbandhan:
Taking a dig at the opposition, the Prime Minister said the Grand Alliance is not an alliance but a Lathbandhan (a group joined by sticks).
“Almost all their leaders, whether from Delhi or Bihar, are out on bail. They only care about saving their families, not Bihar,” he remarked.
PM Narendra Modi urged BJP workers to educate the youth about Bihar’s past by organizing meetings at every booth.
“Call the elders from your area and tell the younger generation about the days of fear and lawlessness. They should know what Jungle Raj meant,” he said.
PM Narendra highlighted development under the double-engine government:
PM Narendra Modi contrasted that dark period with what he called the era of progress under NDA rule, saying that Bihar is now developing rapidly because of stable governments at both the state and central levels.
He highlighted ongoing development work across sectors, including the construction of hospitals, schools, and new railway lines, and credited it to the NDA’s focus on stability and good governance.
“The youth of Bihar are saying with confidence that the NDA government has given new momentum to Bihar. This election will write a new chapter in Bihar’s history, and the youth will play a decisive role in it,” Modi said.
PM Modi also appealed to the youth to go door-to-door and encourage people to vote, adding that a new era of women’s empowerment will begin in Bihar after November 14, when the BJP-led NDA returns to power.
