Patna, July 18, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to Motihari on Thursday, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth over Rs. 7,217 crore while flagging off four new Amrit Bharat Express trains.
In a significant announcement aimed at youth employment, PM Narendra Modi declared a central Scheme under which Rs. 15,000 will be provided to first-time employees in the private sector.
“The central government has approved a big scheme. From August 1, any person getting employed for the first time in a private company will receive Rs. 15,000 from the central government. We will spend Rs. 1 lakh crore on this scheme, ensuring new employment for new youth,” PM Modi said.
PM Narendra Modi focused on eastern India’s growth:
“Just as eastern countries are advancing globally, eastern states of India, including Bihar, must also lead in development. Our resolution is a developed Bihar with employment for every youth,” he said.
PM Narendra Modi criticized the previous RJD-Congress governments, alleging corruption and inaction.

“During their rule, it was impossible for poor people to get houses or for government funds to reach them. People were scared to paint their homes, fearing confiscation. Women could not even keep Rs. 10 openly, nor did they have bank accounts. Modi knows the self-respect of the poor.”
PM Narendra Modi highlighted the Jan Dhan Yojana and direct benefit transfer as transformative steps, ensuring that welfare schemes now reach the poor directly in Bihar.

He has inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of rail, road, fisheries, rural development, and IT sector projects worth Rs. 7,217 crore from Motihari.
He also flagged off four Amrit Bharat Express trains to improve regional connectivity.
