Patna, August 22, 2025: PM Modi on Friday launched a scathing attack on corruption and opposition parties while addressing a massive rally at the Magadh University campus in Bodh Gaya.
He also inaugurated and laid foundation stones for development projects worth over Rs. 12,992 crore in Bihar.
PM Modi’s attack on corruption:
PM Narendra Modi highlighted a new anti-corruption law brought by the NDA government, which, he said, makes even the Prime Minister, Chief Ministers and Ministers accountable.
“If any Chief Minister, Minister or Prime Minister is arrested, he will have to get bail within 30 days, or leave the chair on the 31st day. Earlier, we saw leaders running governments and signing files from jail. How can corruption be fought with such an attitude?” Modi asked, indirectly targeting the opposition leaders.
He contrasted rules for bureaucrats and politicians, saying: “A small government employee is automatically suspended if in custody for 50 hours, but big leaders enjoyed power even from jail.”
PM Narendra Modi accused Congress and RJD of robbing public money during their rule.
“For them, public money only meant filling their coffers. Projects were kept pending for years just to make money out of them. Under the lantern rule, Bihar was pushed into darkness, with no education, no jobs and widespread migration,” he said.
He claimed that the NDA government has maintained a clean record: “Not a single stain of corruption has been put on our government in the last ten years.”
PM Narendra Modi mentioned a new employment scheme for youth:
PM Modi also announcement the recently launched Pradhan Mantri Vikshit Bharat Rojgar Yojana, effective from August 15.
Under this scheme, when youth get their first private-sector job, the government will directly transfer Rs. 15,000 to them, and private companies giving jobs will receive incentives.
“The youth of Bihar will benefit greatly from this,” he added.

Inaugurating projects worth Rs. 12,000 crore related to energy, health and urban development, PM Modi said these will create new jobs and strengthen industries in Bihar.
He praised Bihar’s progress under the NDA’s “double engine government,” stressing that removing difficulties of the poor and empowering women gave him the greatest satisfaction.
Referring to Gaya Ji’s importance as the land where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment, Modi welcomed the state government’s decision to officially rename the city as Gaya Ji.
“This holy land has a rich spiritual and cultural heritage. I congratulate the Bihar government for respecting the sentiments of the people,” he said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Gaya Ji airport around 11 AM and proceeded to the venue in an open SUV, where people lined the roads to greet him.
