Patna, March 26, 2026: The prestigious PGTI NEXTGEN ALPHA Golf Championship was successfully held in Patna, marking a significant step toward promoting emerging golf talent in India.

The tournament was organized in collaboration with the Professional Golf Tour in India, providing a competitive platform for young and professional golfers.

A total of 72 golfers from across the country participated in the championship, showcasing their skills and highlighting the growing depth of talent in Indian golf.

The event served as a crucial opportunity for players to gain exposure and progress within the professional circuit.

Strong performances on display at golf championship:

Kolkata-based Sunit Chowrasia delivered an outstanding performance to clinch the winner’s title, while Vipin Mukhiya from Noida secured the runner-up position.

The winner was awarded a prize of Rs 3,17,875, while the runner-up received Rs 2,67,875.

At the prize distribution ceremony, trophies and awards were presented by key dignitaries, including Sumit Prakash, Founder, ALPHA Sports Academy, Asmita Chaudhary, Co-founder, Vikas, Chief Business Officer, PGTI, Vishal Sahay, Captain, Patna Golf Club, and Arvind Singh, Secretary.

Boost to emerging golf talent:

ALPHA Sports Academy reiterated its commitment to nurturing sports talent and preparing athletes for an international platform.

The academy focuses on providing world-class training, mental conditioning, and competitive exposure from grassroots to elite levels.

Its collaboration with the Professional Golf Tour of India is being seen as a major boost for the development of golf in India, particularly for upcoming players.

Among those present at the event were strategist Sarvesh Kashyap and Mrinal Kishore, adding further prominence to the occasion.
