Pawan Singh came up with a 10-point manifesto for Karakat to hit back BJP.
Patna, May 22: Bhojpuri film power star Pawan Singh released a manifesto comprising 10 points for the Karakat Lok Sabha constituency on Wednesday.
Such a move was part of a retaliation strategy of the actor after BJP expelled him from the party for contesting against the NDA candidate Upendra Kushwaha from the Karakat seat.
Pawan Singh is contesting as an independent candidate for this seat. BJP claimed Pawan Singh was involved in the anti-party activities.
A letter in this regard was issued from the office of BJP state headquarter’s in-charge Arvind Sharma and mentioned that he was involved in anti-party activities and tarnished the image of the party. He was expelled at the direction of BJP state president Samrat Choudhary.
In retaliation, Pawan Singh uploaded two back-to-back posts and projected himself as Abhimanyu. He also said that the people of Karakat are backing this Abhimanyu.
He came with a 10-point manifesto to counter the BJP and give a message to the saffron party that he would not step back from here at any cost.
As per his manifesto, the first point is to expand new employment resources, organic and modern agriculture will be promoted, for which a training center will be established, Proper arrangements will be made for water collection, drinking water and irrigation, We will build film industries, artists will get proper respect, We will make the Pali bridge which has been closed for years operational as soon as possible, the closed factories in Dalmianagar will be restarted and new industries will be expanded, build an IT park which will increase employment opportunities, we will organize a grand fair of Magh Sankranti and Kartik Chhath which are the identity of our culture and tradition and will start a government festival, the Maa Tarachandi temple will be beautified and renovated, rail and road connectivity will be expanded which is very important for the revolution of the industrial sector.
The presence of Pawan Singh made the contest triangular in Karakat. NDA has given this seat to Rashtriya Lok Morcha and its national president Upendra Kushwaha is contesting here in Karakat. In a grand alliance, the seat went to CPI-ML and the party gave the ticket to Rajaram Singh Kushwaha.
Pawan Singh belongs to an upper-caste family and a native of the Bhojpur district. His presence may hurt the NDA candidate as the Bhojpuri superstar is expected to cut the upper caste vote bank of BJP. In Bihar, the upper caste people are considered as a core vote bank of the BJP.
Earlier, the BJP had given the ticket to Pawan Singh to contest the election from Asansol in West Bengal but the actor refused. He was expecting the seat of Arrah, Karakat or Buxar. As the BJP did not give the ticket in any of the constituencies of Bihar, he decided to contest as an independent candidate from Karakat.
The polling in the Karakat Lok Sabha constituency will be scheduled in the seventh phase on June 1.
