Patna metro nears inauguration as final preparation accelerated.

Patna, September 27, 2025: The countdown to the much-awaited Patna Metro inauguration has begun, with authorities working round-the-clock to ensure a smooth launch.

At a high-level review meeting held on Saturday, Abhay Kumar Singh, Managing Director of Patna Metro Rail Corporation Limited (PMRCL) and Secretary of the Urban Development and Housing of the Bihar Government, assessed the completion status of the priority corridor’s stations and the overall readiness for the grand opening.

The meeting was attended by senior officials, including Vijay Prakash Meena, Manan Ram, Rajiv Kumar Srivastava, Abhilasha Sharma, and Manoj Kumar, along with top engineers from PMRCL and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).

Finishing work on the Patna Metro on a fast track:

Officials highlighted the rapid pace of finishing work and the coordinated efforts to dedicate the metro to the public at the earliest possible date.

The first set of metro coaches (Rolling Stokes), which arrived in Patna a month ago, has undergone rigorous testing and is now being fine-tuned for passenger service.

Patna Metro will provide smooth transportation:

Equipped with eco-friendly electric propulsion, smart surveillance, and a real-time information system, the Patna Metro promises a modern, safe and comfortable travel experience for the people of Bihar’s capital.

The upcoming launch will mark a historic leap in urban mobility for Patna, introducing the state to a world-class rapid transit system and offering a cleaner, faster alternative to road transport.
