Patna, August 6, 2025: Bihar is home to several scenic destinations that are rapidly being developed into top-tier tourist spots—Odhani Dam in Banka district being one of the most promising among them.
The Bihar NDA government is actively working to boost tourism, and Odhani Dam has recently emerged as a significant attraction.
Nestled amid natural beauty, the dam offers a serene view of both the river and the dam, making it a perfect spot for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.
Adventure and comfort in Odhani Dam:
Odhani Dam now offers a range of water sports that include motor boating, speed boating and jet skiing, attracting hundreds of visitors daily.
From thrill-seekers to families, everyone is finding something to enjoy at this newly developed destination.
To further enhance the tourist experience, the Bihar Tourism Department has completed the construction of a fully-equipped cafeteria at a cost of Rs 3.45 crore.

This pre-fabricated facility, along with complete site development, will soon be open for public use following the finalization of the lease process later this month.
Once operational, it will offer quality food and refreshment options to tourists.
Theme park, boundary wall, and more on the way:
In addition to the cafeteria, the department is also investing Rs 7.49 crore in the development of a theme park, including its boundary wall, connecting bridge, open air theater, gazebo, parking, fencing, parking boundary wall, multipurpose block, Navgrah Children Park, fountain, podium, pedestal, landscaping, signage, pathway and other amenities.

Work is progressing rapidly, and all major facilities are expected to be completed soon.
With this, Odhani Dam is set to offer a full-fledged, family-friendly tourism experience.
Tourism boost in Banka:
Odhani Dam is not the only place seeing transformation in Banka. The nearby mythologically significant Mandar Mountain has also undergone major development.
A modern ropeway system is now in place for tourists to reach the mountain with ease, and several tourism facilities have already been added, leading to a steady rise in tourist footfall.

With such continuous efforts, the Banka district is rapidly becoming a key hub for tourism in Bihar, showcasing natural beauty, historical significance, and modern amenities all in one package.
