Patna, October 3, 2025: With the political activities heating up in Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday held a key meeting with party workers at his residence in Patna.
Around 400 JDU workers from across the state attended the three-hour-long meeting where the Chief Minister sought ground-level feedback on the implementation of government schemes.
Nitish Kumar asked workers to reach every doorstep with the government schemes:
Nitish Kumar urged workers to ensure that NDA government initiatives effectively reach the people.
“Everyone must work together so that our schemes benefit the public properly,” he told them.
Workers demanded Nishant’s entry into active politics:
During the meeting, JDU District President of Nalanda, Ajit Chandravanshi and District Vice President Bharat Sharma raised the demand for Nitish Kumar’s son, Nishant Kumar, to join active politics.
They appealed to the Chief Minister, saying Nishant should enter politics with the same energy and commitment as his father to reinvigorate the party.
Responding to the suggestion, Nitish Kumar said he would consider the matter, adding that workers in Nalanda had already reached a consensus in favour of Nishant contesting elections. Nitish Kumar personally interacted with each worker one by one, inquiring about conditions in their respective constituencies.

Senior leaders, including Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Jha, Union Minister Lalan Singh, JDU state president Umesh Kushawa, and MLC Sanjay Gandhi, were also present.
Speculation over Nishant Kumar’s possible political entry circulated in Bihar for years.
Though Nishant has largely kept a low profile and stayed away from active politics, he occasionally issues statements urging people to support his father.
With JDU leaders once again openly demanding his inclusion, buzz about his formal debut in politics has intensified.
