Nitish Kumar reviews skill development programs at the BIPARD Skill Park in Patna.

Patna, April 1, 2026: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday inspected the Dakshata Bhavan of the BIPARD Skill Park located within the WALMI (Water and Land Management Institute) campus in Patna.

During the visit, he conducted a comprehensive review of the training programs being run at the facility.

The Chief Minister also inspected the residential and mess facilities provided to trainees and issued necessary directions to officials to ensure better management and upkeep.

He visited various classrooms, interacted with trainees, and encouraged them to pursue their studies and training with dedication.

The Nitish Kumar government is focusing on training quality and facilities:

Addressing the trainers, Nitish Kumar emphasized the government’s commitment to generating employment opportunities for the youth.

He stated that several initiatives have been undertaken to make Bihar’s youth self-reliant through skill development and technical training.

During the visit, the Chief Minister also reviewed the Himadri Hostel and inquired about the arrangements in other hotels on the campus. He directed officials to maintain cleanliness and discipline and ensure that all necessary facilities are available for trainers.

It is noteworthy that the BIPARD Skill Park in Patna runs six major training programs aimed at skill development and employment generation.

These Include System Applications and Products (SAP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Geriatric Care Giver, Fashion Designing, Commis and Assistant Baking Technician.

Interaction with trainers:

Interaction with students in classrooms, Nitish Kumar encouraged them to stay focused and make the most of training opportunities.

“Study with dedication and acquire skills. The government is committed to providing employment and making youth self-reliant,” he said.

He reiterated that multiple initiatives have been launched to boost employment, skill development, and technical education among Bihar’s youth.

Trainees enrolled in these programs are provided with free accommodation, food, training kits, and uniforms. Additionally, they receive training in English as well as foreign languages such as German, French, Spanish, and Japanese to enhance their employability in both domestic and international job markets.

So far, the institute has trained a total of 667 youth trainees (excluding government employees), out of which 204 have secured employment opportunities in India and abroad.

The visit highlights the Bihar government’s focus on strengthening skill infrastructure and creating job opportunities, aligning with its broader goal of making youth self-reliant and industry-ready.

During the inspection, Water Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Chief Secretary, Pratyaya Amrit, Additional Chief Secretary of the General Administration Department and Director General of BIPARD Dr. B. Rajendra, Secretary to the Chief Minister, Dr. Chandrasekhar Singh, Secretary of the Youth, Empolyment and Skill Development Department, Kaushal Kishore, District Magistrate, Dr. Tyagarajan S.M., Senior Superintendent of Police, Kartikeya K. Sharma, and other senior officials were present.
