Nitish Kumar lays the foundation of Rs 1203.81 crore projects to boost the road and power sectors in Saran.

Patna, September 4, 2025: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday laid the foundation stone and initiated work for 27 development schemes worth Rs 1203.81 crore in the Saran district.

These projects were announced during his recent Pragati Yatra.

In the power sector, Kumar initiated the construction of a Grid substation in Chhapra, a 132 KV transmission line, reconductoring works, and the creation of five new line bays in Ekma, Sheetalpur, and Mashrakh Grid Substation.

He also initiated the construction of Ekma-Mashrakh Road, the Chhapra section of NH 19, Ekma-Dumaigarh Road, and Khaira Bin Tolia Road widening work.

CM Nitish said these projects will strengthen the electricity network and improve traffic flow, providing major relief to residents.

Nitish Kumar highlighted social welfare schemes:

During his dialogue program with beneficiaries of social schemes in Ratanpur Bin Tolia village, Nitish Kumar highlighted Social Security Pension amount increased from Rs 400 to Rs 1100, 125 units of free electricity for domestic consumers, and several measures were introduced for Jivika Sisters to empower women of the state.

Beneficiaries expressed happiness, while Kumar directed officials to act promptly on people’s grievances and suggestions.

CM’s assurance:

Nitish Kumar said that all announcements made during the Pragati Yatra were approved in record time, and work has already started.

He also assured that his government is committed to fulfilling every promise.
