Patna, September 20, 2025: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday flagged off the Science exhibition bus at a program held at the Planetarium, Patna, marking the launch of state-wide interactive information about science and technology.

Nitish Kumar inaugurated several projects:
During the program, Nitish Kumar also inaugurated several projects under the Science, Technology, and Technical Education Department, including the commencement of Astra Park construction at the Planetarium, Patna, and the launch of a souvenir sales Centre.
He also inaugurated the M.Tech program in Civil Engineering under the Bihar Remote Sensing Application Centre, in collaboration with the Bihar Council of Science and Technology and Bihar Engineering University, Patna.

An MoU was also signed between the Bihar Council of Science and Technology and the National Science Museum Campus to construct an observatory dome with a telescope at the Planetarium, launch of an Internship Portal to connect students with practical learning opportunities, and inauguration of a Virtual Reality Theater at the Planetarium, built at a cost of Rs. 5.6 crore.
Nitish Kumar personally observed the VR theater, noting that it will provide students and visitors with immersive scientific experiences.

In addition, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar awarded degrees to engineering graduates of Bihar Engineering University.
Suman Kumar, a Mechanical Engineering student from Motihari College of Engineering and the university’s top-ranking graduate, received a Rs. 50,001 cash prize, a gold medal, a laptop, and a B.Tech degree.

Other top graduates honoured included Vaishnavi Priya (BCE, Bhagalpur)—Civil Engineering, Saloni Kumari (GEC, Nawada)—Electrical Engineering, Hrithik Raj (BCE, Bhagalpur)—Electronics and Communication Engineering, Pramit Kumar (BCE, Bhagalpur)—Computer Science & Engineering, Rani Kumari (MIT, Muzaffarpur)—Information Technology and others.
Each received a laptop, a gold medal, a certificate, and a B.Tech degree in recognition of their academic excellence.
The event highlighted the Bihar government’s focus on science education, technological innovation, and skill development for students across the state.
