Patna, April 2, 2026: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday conducted an extensive inspection of several ongoing development projects across Patna and directed officials to expedite their completion.
During his visit, the Chief Minister inspected the under-construction Patliputra Park No. 113 in Patliputra Colony.
He reviewed key amenities being developed at the site, including walking tracks, a gymnasium, and a children’s play area, and instructed officials to complete the project on a priority basis.
He later stopped at Patali Path to assess the ongoing work aimed at connecting Nehru Path to Patali Path, emphasizing the need for faster execution. Moving ahead, he inspected the proposed four-lane widening and strengthening of the Rupaspur Canal Road near the Rupaspur Canal.
The road serves as a crucial link connecting Khagaul, Nehru Path, and Ashok Rajpath.

Stressing the importance of timely completion, the Chief Minister noted that these projects would enhance connectivity and provide additional commuting options for residents.
Nitish Kumar reviewed the underground drainage system at Saguna Mor:
At Saguna Mor, Nitish Kumar reviewed the road-widening project along both sides of Nehru Path, stretching from the Rupaspur Canal to Saguna Mor, which also includes the construction of an underground drainage system.
He highlighted that West Patna is witnessing rapid development and emphasized the urgent need to strengthen traffic infrastructure in the region.
As part of these efforts, a structure comprising a box culvert integrated with a roadway is being constructed over an approximately 12-meter-wide open drain between Rupaspur and Saguna Mor.

The Chief Minister observed that this initiative would not only improve urban aesthetics but also significantly ease traffic movement in the area.
The Chief Minister also inspected the 2.20-kilometer road-widening and strengthening project at Krishna Chowk on Gola Path, connecting Nehru Path to Gola Path.
Noting that the area frequently experiences traffic congestion, he directed officials to complete the work at the earliest.
Upon completion, the project is expected to greatly improve connectivity and ease travel for residents commuting towards Danapur.
Present during the inspection were water Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Secretary of the Road Construction Department Pankaj Kumar Pal, Secretary to the Chief Minister Anupam Kumar, Secretary to the Chief Minister Kumar Ravi, Officer on Special Duty to the Chief Minister Dr. Gopal Singh, Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, District Magistrate Dr. Tyagrajan S.M., and Senior Superintendent of Police Kartikeya K. Sharma, among other senior officials.
