Nitish Kumar inaugurates projects worth Rs 569.36 crore in Supaul during ‘Samriddhi Yatra.’

Patna, March 10, 2026: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth Rs 569.38 crore in Supaul district during his ongoing Samriddhi Yatra.

Major projects and Budget announcements by Nitish Kumar:

Nitish Kumar noted that the Union Budget 2025 includes several key announcements for Bihar, including the establishment of a Makhana Board and the development of a new airport in Bihar.

He said these initiatives would strengthen the state’s economy and create new employment opportunities.

During the program in Supaul, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 213 development projects.

He laid the foundation stone for 84 projects worth Rs 434.469 crore and inaugurated 129 completed projects worth Rs 134.897 crore.

Nitish Kumar stated that the pace of development in Bihar has significantly accelerated since his government assumed office.

He also remarked that development work was minimal in earlier years and said that basic amenities such as education, healthcare, electricity and drinking water have improved considerably under the current administration.

Third phase of ‘Samriddhi Yatra’:

The Chief Minister is currently on the third phase of the Samriddhi Yatra, which is scheduled from March 10 to March 14 across the districts of the Seemanchal and Kosi regions.

 His planned itinerary includes visits to Kishanganj and Araria on March 11, Katihar and Purnia on March 12, Saharsa and Khagaria on March 13, and Begusarai and Sheikhpura on March 14.

 After the program in Supaul, the Chief Minister left by helicopter for Madhepura, where he will stay overnight.

Meanwhile, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said that Nitish Kumar is not going anywhere on behalf of the National democratic Alliance (NDA) and will continue to remain with the alliance and guide its leadership in Bihar.
