Patna, March 23, 2026: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday connected the fifth phase of his ‘Samriddhi Yatra’ (Prosperity Journey), visiting Jehanabad and Arwal districts to review and accelerate development initiatives.
As part of the visit to Jehanabad, the Chief Minister inaugurated 88 schemes worth Rs 70 crore and laid the foundation stones for 73 projects valued at Rs 182 crore, dedicating them to the people of the district.
Nitish Kumar visited departmental stalls:
During the event, he inspected training and production centers run by the Rural Development department and appreciated the ongoing work.
He also visited departmental stalls, interacted directly with beneficiaries, and distributed financial assistance.
Addressing a ‘Jan Samvad’ (Public Dialogue) program at Gandhi Maidan, Nitish Kumar reiterated the government’s commitment to the district’s progress. Emphasizing sustained development, he said, “This journey of development will stop now; the journey of prosperity will become a strong foundation for a ‘Developed Bihar.”

The visit forms part of the broader outreach under the Samriddhi Yatra, aimed at strengthening infrastructure, governance, and welfare delivery across Bihar.

Earlier, as part of the fifth phase of the “Samriddhi yatra,’ Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited Arwal, where he laid the foundation stones for 22 development schemes and inaugurated as many as 250 projects, further boosting infrastructure and public service in the district.
With this, Nitish Kumar has completed four phases of the Samriddhi Yatra, while the fifth phase commenced on Monday, continuing his statewide development outreach across Bihar.

Several prominent leaders were present on the occasion, including Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Ashok Chaudhary, and Dr. Pramod Kumar, along with Legislative Council Members Dr. Kumud Verma and Anil Kumar, and Ghosi MLA Rituraj Kumar.
Earlier in the day, on the birth anniversary of eminent socialist thinker Ram Manohar Lohia, senior leaders and workers of Janata Dal United paid tribute to him at the party’s state office in Patna, remembering his ideals and contributions.
