Nitish Kumar inaugurated 161 projects in Kaimur and 179 projects in Rohtas during Samriddhi Yatra.

Patna, March 24, 2026: As part of his ongoing ‘Samriddhi Yatra’, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited Kaimur and Rohtas districts, announcing and inaugurating a series of major development projects aimed at accelerating regional growth.

Nitish Kumar’s focus on infrastructure and welfare in Kaimur:

In Kaimur district, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stones for 43 development schemes worth Rs 47 crore and inaugurated 161 projects valued at Rs 162 crore.

During his visit, he also inaugurated a Jungle Safari at the Kaimur Forest Division in Bhabhua, boosting eco-tourism in the region.

He inspected stalls set up by various government departments, interacted with beneficiaries, and distributed cheques under multiple welfare schemes.

Additionally, he visited ‘Adarsh Anganwadi’ centres, engaging with children and encouraging their participation in early education initiatives.

Addressing a ‘Jan Samvad’ program, Nitish Kumar congratulated the residents and urged them to work collectively towards the vision of a developed Bihar.

Rohtas: Major investment in water and infrastructure:

Reached Rohtas district, where he laid the foundation stones for 129 schemes worth Rs 321 crore and inaugurated 179 projects valued at Rs 159 crore.

A key highlight of the visit was the inspection of projects related to the utilization of water from the Son River, including the construction of an Intake Well, Weir (barrage) and a Water Treatment Plant.

Nitish Kumar reviewed a 3D model of the plant and issued necessary directions to officials to ensure timely completion.

He also visited various departmental stalls, interacted with beneficiaries, and distributed financial assistance.

Addressing the public gathering, Nitish Kumar reiterated the government’s commitment to holistic development and called upon citizens to contribute towards building a ‘Developed Bihar.’

The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, Ram Kripal Yadav, Vijay Kumar Choudhary, along with several ministers, MLAs, and senior officials, reflecting the government’s coordinated approach toward development initiatives across districts.
