Nitish Kumar targeted Rs 50 lakh crore investment:

To position Bihar among India’s top five investment-friendly states, the Industries Department will organize investor conferences in major commercial centres in India and abroad.

Key components include improving ease of doing business, establishing five new mega food parks, developing 10 industrial parks and 100 MSME parks, training 7 lakh youth in industry-relevant skills, setting up MSME directorates and district-level centres, and expanding export and local products.

Nitish Kumar also highlighted that 44,073 entrepreneurs have received incentives under the Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojana, boosting start-ups and small-scale industries.

The Chief Minister said the government is working to make Bihar a major technological and manufacturing destination.

“A high-level committee has been set up to oversee an action plan for the Defence corridor, Semiconductor Manufacturing Park, Global Capacity Centre, Mega Tech City, Fintech City, establishing Bihar as a global back-end hub and global workplace,” he said.

Kumar added that employment-oriented initiatives in start-ups and new-age sectors are being expanded to retain talented youth within the state.

Massive infrastructure expansion:

Nitish Kumar announced that the integrated manufacturing clusters at Dobhi in Gaya, spread over 1,700 acres, are nearing completion and will be inaugurated soon.

Additionally, 31 new state-of-the-art industrial parks covering 14,036 acres across 29 districts will be set up, including 10 sector-specific parks such as textile and pharmaceutical parks.

The state government will spend Rs 26,000 crore on rapid industrial development.

The Chief Minister asserted that Bihar now offers robust infrastructure for industries, including strong road, rail, and air connectivity, along with uninterrupted electricity supply.

“The rule of law is established in the state, and the law and order situation is good. We will ensure that the youth of Bihar are not forced to migrate for employment,” Kumar said.
