Patna, March 26, 2026: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Nalanda district has witnessed significant development strides on Thursday.

Continuing his Samriddhi Yatra (Prosperity Journey), the Chief Minister visited Nalanda and dedicated a series of development projects to the public.

During the visit, he inaugurated 110 schemes worth Rs 316 crore and laid the foundation stones for 106 projects valued at Rs 494 crore, further accelerating the district’s growth trajectory.

Nitish Kumar’s focus on grassroots engagement:

As part of the event, the Chief Minister inspected stalls set up by various government departments and interacted directly with beneficiaries, including members of women’s self-help group popularly known as Jeevika Didis.

Nitish Kumar also distributed cheques under various welfare schemes.

Public dialogue highlights government achievements:

 Addressing a large gathering at the Jansamvad (Public Dialogue) program held at Deepnagar Stadium in Bihar Sharif, Nitish Kumar reiterated his government’s commitment to inclusive development.

He drew comparisons with the pre-2005 era in Bihar, highlighting improvements in infrastructure, governance, and public services under the NDA government.

March 26 marks the conclusion of the widely discussed Samridhi Yatra in Patna.

The journey, which spanned multiple districts, has not only showcased development initiatives but has also emerged as a significant political exercise, signaling strength, outreach, and intent ahead of future electoral contests.

After concluding his visit to Nalanda, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar reached Patna on Thursday afternoon, where he laid the foundation stones for 612 projects and inaugurated 761 projects via remote control at Gyan Bhawan in Gandhi Maidan.

The project was formally dedicated to the public, marking the culmination of the widely discussed Samridhi Yatra.

During the event, the chief minister inspected stalls set up by various government departments showcasing ongoing developmental initiatives.

He interacted with beneficiaries, reviewed project progress, and distributed cheques under multiple welfare schemes.

Tribute to Emperor Ashoka:

Coinciding with the birth anniversary of Ashoka, Nitish Kumar paid floral tributes to the great Maurya ruler, recalling his ideals of good governance, valor and universal brotherhood.

Addressing a large gathering at Bapu Sabhagar during a public dialogue program, Nitish Kumar reiterated his commitment to the holistic development of Bihar.

He highlighted the progress achieved under the NDA government and called upon citizens to work collectively toward the vision of a Developed Bihar.

Several prominent leaders were present during the event, including Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary, Vijay Kumar Sinha, Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Ram Kripal Yadav, Patna Sahib MP Ravi Shankar Prasad,  Shravan Kumar, Nalanda MP Kaushlendra Kumar, MLC Neeraj Kumar, and MLAs from various constituencies, including Jitendra Kumar, Sunil Kumar, Kaushal Kishore, Ruhel Ranjan, Krishna Murari Sharan, and Hari Narayan Singh.

The conclusion of the Samriddhi Yatra in Patna marks both a developmental milestone and a significant political movement in Bihar, as the outreach program has combined governance delivery with mass public engagement across districts.
