Patna, January 16, 2026: BJP National Working President Nitin Nabin on Friday hosted a traditional Makar Sankranti Dahi-Chura feast at his official residence at 3, Tailor Road in Patna.

The event witnessed the presence of several senior NDA leaders, including Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, and other leaders of the alliance.
The leaders exchanged warm greetings and extended their best wishes to one another as well as to the people of Bihar and the country on the occasion of Makar Sankranti.
Nitin Nabin arrived in Patna on Thursday for a two-day visit on Thursday.
After attending the feast, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary shared a post on his official X handle, stating, “In Patna, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar participated in a Dahi-Chura feast organized by BJP National Working President Nitin Nabin and extended greetings on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. This cordial event showcased the beautiful essence of Bihar’s cultural unity, traditions, and social harmony.”
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha also highlighted the cultural significance of the occasion.
This warm, simple and culturally rich event reflected Bihar’s deep-rooted traditions, social harmony, and mutual unity. My heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all the people of Bihar on the occasion of Makar Sankranti,” he said.
Makar Sankranti celebrations are being observed widely across Bihar, particularly in the political circle.
This year, several NDA and other parties organized the feast in Patna, including Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, JDU MLA Ratnesh Sada, Union Food Processing Minister Chirag Paswan, Congress Party and Tej Pratap Yadav.
Nitin Nabin will assume the National President post of the BJP on January 20:
Nitin Nabin, regarded as one of Bihar’s young and prominent BJP leaders, was recently appointed as the party’s National Working President.
He is expected to assume charge of the National President on January 20.
