Patna, July 4, 2024: JD (U) working president Sanjay Kumar Jha said that his party and the NDA alliance will show better performance in 2025 than they did in the 2010 assembly election.

The 2010 assembly election was the most successful one for JD (U) as the party won 118 seats in the Bihar Vidhan Sabha.

NDA is leading in 177 constituencies in Bihar:

Referring to the recently concluded Lok Sabha election, Jha said: “The NDA was leading in 177 assembly constituencies in Bihar, and it indicates a potential for greater success in the upcoming Bihar assembly election for our alliance in 2025.”

Sanjay Jha received a warm welcome from party leaders and workers upon his arrival in Patna for the first time since becoming the national working president of JD (U). The reception included drums, trumpets, and a conch-blowing ceremony led by cabinet minister Ashok Chaudhary.

Jha expressed confidence in Nitish Kumar’s leadership, countering claims that Kumar’s political influence was waning.

Sanjay Jha attacked Tejashwi Yadav:

He sharply attacked Tejashwi Yadav and said, “Some leaders did an extensive campaign of 250 public meetings, and some say 300 during the Lok Sabha election, but the results favoured the NDA.”

On the issue of special state status for Bihar, Jha reiterated the demand for either a special status or a special package for the state.

“The Prime Minister is focused on Bihar and that significant assistance from the Centre to be forthcoming. The NDA government at the Centre is committed to helping Bihar to make a developed state within the next five years,” Jha said.

During the JD (U) national executive meeting in Delhi on June 29, Nitish Kumar appointed Sanjay Jha as the working president of the party, entrusting him with the responsibility of leading the party into the 2025 assembly election.
