NDA leaders criticized INDIA bloc’s Chakka Jam protest, Samrat Choudhary calls Rahul Gandhi’s visit a picnic.

Patna, July 9, 2025: After Rahul Gandhi’s strong attack on the Centre and the Election Commission over the voter list revision in Bihar, NDA leaders, including Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, dismissed his visit as a “picnic.”

“Leaders like Rahul Gandhi believe in picnics. He has nothing to do with the problems of Bihar and has no contribution to its development. They come here, have their picnic, and return. He should at least see the airport of Patna,” Choudhary said.

Rahul Gandhi was in Patna to lead the Chakka Jam protest march from Income Tax roundabout to the Election Commission office via Veer Chand Patel Path.

The protest witnessed confrontations between the INDIA bloc workers and the Patna Police at the R-Block roundabout.

Other NDA leaders also criticized Rahul, Tejashwi:

BJP senior Syed Shahnawaz Hussain called the protest a “flop show,” stating: “They are unruly people stopping school buses, ambulances, and blocking trains. The people of Bihar are not with them. Those on the roads are only RJD, Congress, and Pappu Yadav’s supporters. They have no real issues and are targeting the Election Commission for drama.”

NDA constituent partner in Bihar mocked INDIA bloc leaders over Chakka Jam:

JDU MLC and spokesperson Neeraj Kumar also mocked the protest, saying: “Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav have made a mockery of the Chakka Jam. They called for a road blockade, but they themselves rode in lavishly decorated vehicles. What kind of Chakka Jam is this? Common people stayed off the roads due to fear, while innocent children missed school. This is just a drama by the INDIA bloc leaders.”

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday launched a sharp attack on the Narendra Modi- led NDA government and the Election Commission, alleging that just as the Maharashtra elections were “stolen,” a similar attempt is underway in Bihar.
