Patna, April 6, 2024: Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha on Saturday slammed Mukesh Sahani, the chief of Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP), accusing him of aligning with leaders responsible for Bihar’s Jungle Raj.

“Mukesh Sahani has made an alliance with people known for Jungle Raj in the state. The people will question him for this decision. I want to ask such leaders what they have done for the people of their own communities,” Sinha asked while speaking to the media in Patna.

Vijay Sinha criticized Mukesh Sahani after he joined the INDIA bloc:

His remarks came a day after VIP led by Mukesh Sahani joined the INDIA bloc in Bihar.

The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) allotted Mukesh Sahani three Lok Sabha seats, including Jhanjharpur, Gopalganj (Reserved) and Purvi Champaran, from its own quota.

Following the alliance, Mukesh Sahani had claimed that they betrayed him.

Responding to Sahani’s statement, Sinha said, “The people of Bihar will give a fitting reply to those who have turned politics into a source of personal income. The BJP never cheated anyone. We embrace people and give respect to every section of society.”

Vijay Sinha leveled ticket-selling allegations against Lalu Prasad Yadav:

The Deputy Chief Minister also took a swipe at RJD national president Lalu Prasad Yadav, alleging that he has a history of selling party tickets during elections.

“Whenever he got an opportunity, he sold party tickets instead of rewarding those who worked for the party for years,” he said.
