Patna, December 27, 2025: Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahani on Saturday launched a fresh attack on the NDA government in Bihar, alleging that the ruling dispensation lacks a clear vision for the state’s development and is instead focused on intimidating opposition leaders.

Speaking to reporters at the Patna airport after returning from Delhi, Sahani said the government’s priorities were misplaced.

“The entire focus of this government is on harassing and pressurizing opposition leaders, not on development,” he alleged.

Mukesh Sahani alleged that the opposition is being targeted by the government:

Mukesh Sahani strongly objected to the ongoing controversy surrounding the vacating of former Chief Minister Rabri Devi’s official residence.

He said the opposition represents the voice of the people and plays a crucial role in guiding the government when it goes astray.

“When the government becomes blind and deaf, it is the opposition that shows it the right path. Suppressing the opposition, intimidating leaders, and evicting them from their homes cannot be called development,” Sahani said.

Launching a scathing attack on the NDA government, Mukesh Sahani questioned the frequent collapse of bridges and flyovers in Bihar, alleging widespread corruption.

He claimed that the Chief Minister is unable to see these issues and sarcastically remarked that officials are running the government by taking advantage of Nitish Kumar’s ill health.

“Corruption in Bihar has crossed all limits. Bridges are collapsing, infrastructure is failing, yet the government remains silent,” he alleged.

Sahani also questioned the legitimacy of the NDA government, claiming it was formed not on the basis of the people’s mandate but through “money power”.

He alleged that voters were lured with an amount of Rs 10,000.

He further claimed that the state government is facing a financial crisis, forcing the Chief Minister to seek funds from the Centre.

The situation is such that the government does not even have sufficient funds to pay salaries to its employees,” Sahani alleged.

Remarks on Jitan Ram Manjhi and the NDA tensions:

When asked about reports of dissatisfaction within the NDA and Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi’s alleged unhappiness with the alliance, Sahani dismissed the speculation with a smile, saying, “Jitan Ram Manjhi just wants to stay in the media spotlight.”

Mukesh Sahani asserted that the opposition is not afraid of any government action and will continue to fight for the rights of the people. “The public is watching everything, and when the time comes, it will give a befitting reply,” he said.
