Patna, September 19, 2025: The ongoing Pitru Paksha fair in Gaya witnessed the arrival of India’s leading industrialist Mukesh Ambani on Friday.

Mukesh Ambani reached the Vishnupad temple with his son:

The Reliance Industries Limited chairman, accompanied by his son Anant Ambani and other family members, performed the sacred ritual of Pind Daan for the salvation of his ancestors.

Earlier this year, in January, Mukesh Ambani’s younger brother, Anil Ambani, had also visited Gayaji to perform the ancestral rites.

Now, eight months later, Mukesh Ambani has returned to the holy city, underlining the significance that the Ambani family attaches to this age-old tradition.

Pitru Paksha Fair in Gayaji is world-renowned and attracts lakhs of devotees every year.

According to Hindu belief, performing Pind Daan, Tarpan, and Shraddha at Gayaji helps ancestors attain Moksha (Salvation) and bring blessings to their descendants.

This year too, thousands of families from across the country and abroad have been arriving in Gaya to offer prayers and perform rituals along the banks of the Falgu River and at the Vishnupad Temple, where the sacred ceremonies are traditionally held.

President Droupadi Murmu will visit Gayaji on September 20:

On Saturday (September 20), President Droupadi Murmu will visit Gayaji to perform the sacred ritual of Pind Daan during the ongoing Pitru Paksha Mahasangam 2025.

The President will offer prayers for the peace and salvation of ancestors at the world-famous Vishnupad Temple.
