Patna, May 2, 2024: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Misa Bharti, who is contesting the Lok Sabha election from Patliputra constituency, sparked controversy on Thursday after referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a “75-year-old elderly person” seeking a third term in office.
Addressing an election rally in Bihta block under Patliputra, Bharti said.
“PM Narendra Modi has become 75 years old and the people of the country have already given him two terms. He has ruled the country for the last 10 years, but what has he done for the young people? He brought the Agniveer scheme under which a young man will serve for only four years and then be sent home, while the Prime Minister himself, at 75, wants a third term.”
