Manorama Devi received life-threatening letters.

Patna, August 29: Manorama Devi, the former MLC of JD (U) and her elder son Rocky Yadav received a life threat in Bihar’s Gaya district, an official said.

Manorma Devi claimed, two envelopes arrived at his residence via speed post in the past few days. Upon opening the envelopes, it was discovered that both contained death threats directed at her and her son Rocky Yadav.

In an FIR registered in Rampur police station in Gaya on August 26, two employees were delivered through speed post, with one bearing her name and the other her son’s. The letters were received by a house employee, Ajay Sharma, and opened by her personal assistant Ravindra Kumar. After reading the contents, he informed Manorama Devi about it.

The threatening letters were traced using the track ID EF 434191 177 IN and 434181115 IN, revealing that they were posted from Patna General Post Office located near Patna Junction Railway station. The name of the sender was Sushil Kumar, with an address in Saketpuri Bahadurgarh, Rajendra Nagar, Patna. The threatening letters have been included in the FIR.

Following the FIR, Manorama Devi, stated, “We have demanded that the district police should check the CCTV of the post office to identify and apprehend the sender. Examining the footage could help trace the person who sent the letter and potentially uncover the leader of the group involved in sending these threatening letters.”

“We have registered an FIR in this matter and an investigation is underway. The case will be cracked soon,” said said Dinesh Bahadur Singh, SHO of Rampur police station.
