Patna, July 31, 2025: BJP leader and Delhi MP Manoj Tiwari on Thursday began a 110-kilometer Kanwar Yatra from Namami Gange Ghat in Sultanganj to the Baidyanath Dham temple in Deoghar, carrying a kanwar filled with holy Ganga water.

This marks his return to the religious journey after 30 years.

“After 30 years, I have picked up the Kanwar once again. I’ve started my barefoot journey from Sultanganj to Baba Baidyanath Dham with the chanting of ‘Har har Mahadev.’

This is a path of devotion, peace, and spiritual awakening,” said Tiwari.

The event drew a large crowd at the Ghat, with BJP workers and devotees showing great enthusiasm.

The presence of local BJP leaders gave a political hue to what began as a religious observance.

Prayer and Political Message by Manoj Tiwari:

During the event, Manoj Tiwari prayed for Bihar’s peace, prosperity, and development, while expressing confidence that the NDA would return to power in the upcoming state elections.

He also used the occasion to criticize RJD MLA Bhai Virendra, accusing him of making statements only for media attention without any real public connection.

Manoj Tiwari further said no leader should publicly insult officials, taking an indirect jibe at Tej Pratap Yadav and supporting disciplinary action within his party.

“The public wants development and is tired of empty promises. I am praying that Baba blesses Bihar again with an NDA government,” he added.

Yatra details:

The Kanwar Yatra, approximately 110 km long, will culminate in a Jalabhishek at Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar.

Along the route, Manoj Tiwari is expected to be welcomed by party workers and devotees at several points in Bhagalpur, Banka and Deoghar districts. With political messaging subtly interwoven with spiritual devotion, Tiwari’s yatra highlights how faith and politics continue to intersect in Bihar’s pre-election landscape.
