Patna, April 7, 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday launched a sharp attack on the Congress and the INDI Alliance, accusing them of attempting to divide the country and weaken its constitutional values.
Addressing a massive rally in Bihar’s Nawada district, PM Modi said, “The leaders of the Congress party are openly saying that they will separate the southern parts of the country. They are talking about another division of India.”
He alleged that the Congress, in its manifesto, has raised concerns about changes to the Constitution, but it was the Modi government that implemented the Constitution of Dr B.R. Ambedkar in Jammu and Kashmir by revoking Article 370.
“Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge recently said What is the relevance of Article 370 in Rajasthan or other states? I want to remind them that Kashmir is an integral part of our country. Soldiers from Bihar and other states have sacrificed their lives for it. Their language resembles that of the Tukde-Tukde gang,” Modi said, drawing loud cheers from the crowd.
Continuing his attack, PM Modi claimed that the Congress manifesto reflected the ideology of the Muslim League.
“It is not a manifesto but an appeasement letter,” he said.
PM Modi slammed the INDI Alliance leaders for criticizing his guarantee:
The Prime Minister also hit back at INDI Alliance leaders who criticized his “Modi Guarantee” slogan.
One of the INDI Alliance leaders said Modi’s guarantee should be banned. Is giving a guarantee a crime? They are scared because Modi’s guarantees are fulfilled. Of Modi’s guarantee continues, their vote-bank shops will shut down,” he said.
Referring to the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, PM Modi accused the Congress and RJD of obstructing its construction.
“INDI Alliance leaders did not allow the Ram temple to be built. Their minds are filled with poison. They even punish leaders who attended the Pran Pratistha ceremony of Ram Lalla. With Ram Navami approaching, people should remember this sin,” he said.
PM Modi also took a dig at reported internal rifts within the INDI Alliance.
“One leader is refusing to campaign unless he is declared the Prime Ministerial candidate. They show unity in Delhi but fight in the states. The INDI Alliance neither has vision nor reliability. It is a den of corruption,” he said.
PM Modi highlighted his government’s achievements:
Highlighting the achievements of his government, PM said the last decade had taken India to new heights of development.
The construction of roads, expressways, and modern railway stations is underway in Bihar. Vande Bharat trains are running across the country. India’s voice is now heard globally,” he said.
PM Modi described the 2024 Lok Sabha election as crucial for India’s future.
“I am on a mission to eradicate poverty. In the last 10 years, 25 crore people have come out of poverty. I will not rest until poverty is eliminated from the country,” he said.
Concluding his address, PM Modi credited Nitish Kumar and Sushil Kumar Modi for pulling Bihar out of the Jungle Raj era before 2005.
The central government has done a lot, but this is just the trailer. We must now put development into top gear,” he said.
