Lalu Prasad Yadav rallies support for Tejashwi, promises welfare schemes ahead of 2025 Bihar poll.

Patna, February 5, 2025: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav made a rare visit to Nalanda, the home turf of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, to attend the death anniversary program of Shri Krishnavallabh on Wednesday.

In a powerful address, he called for unity among supporters to form a government under Tejashwi Yadav’s leadership.

“We all have to unite and form our government in Bihar. Tejashwi Yadav has to be made the Chief Minister, and no one’s head should be bowed. I have never bowed my head before anyone, nor will I ever do so,” the veteran RJD leader said.

“We should stand together with youth, journalists, women, brothers and sisters to protect this country,” he said.

Lalu Prasad Yadav emphasized on women and backward class empowerment:

Lalu Prasad Yadav, who is known for social justice and empowerment to the backward caste, Dalit and minority community, reiterated Tejashwi Yadav’s campaign promises, emphasizing Rs. 2,500 per month for women under Mai-Behan Maan Yojana, similar to Jharkhand’s scheme.

He also said 200 units of free electricity for households and more jobs and employment opportunities for the youth.
