Lalu Prasad Yadav does not want any leader to emerge in Bihar and challenge Tejashwi Yadav, says Neeraj Kumar.

Patna April 15: A day after Congress announced the name of Kanhaiya Kumar as a candidate to contest the Lok Sabha election on North East Delhi constituency, Neeraj Kumar, the JD-U MLC and spokesperson claimed RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav does not want any leader emerge in Bihar and challenge his son Tejashwi Yadav.

“Kanhaiya Kumar contested the Lok Sabha election 2019 from Begusarai and RJD had given the ticket to Tanvir Hasan to fight against him. As a result, the RJD candidate cut the votes of Kanhaiya Kumar and he lost the election,” Kumar said.

“Similarly, Lalu Prasad met with Pappu Yadav before he joined the Congress party in New Delhi. After his joining, Lalu Prasad Yadav cut the ticket of Pappu Yadav to contest from Purnea,” he said.

Lalu Prasad Yadav does not want any leader to emerge in Bihar and become a challenger for his son Tejashwi Yadav. Hence, he did not give the Purnea and Begusarai seats. The idea was to rule out the Congress’s claim on these two seats for Pappu Yadav and Kanhaiya Kumar. Congress has no strength in front of Lalu Prasad Yadav in Bihar,” Kumar said.
