Patna, May 28, 2024: RJD national president Lalu Prasad Yadav on Tuesday claimed that the people of the country have rejected Prime Minister Narendra Modi, asserting that the INDIA bloc will form the next government at the Centre.

Speaking to reporters in Patna, Lalu Prasad Yadav said, “The results will come in favour of the INDIA alliance, Modi is gone now.”

The outcome of the first six phases clearly indicates a trend in favour of the INDIA bloc, and we are confident of forming the new government,” he added.

Launching a sharp attack on Prime Minister Modi, the RJD chief said, “He says that he was not born—that he is an avatar sent by God. On June 4, it will be known what he really is.”

Lalu Prasad campaigned for his daughter Misa Bharti:

Lalu Prasad held a roadshow in support of his daughter Misa Bharti, who is contesting from the Patliputra Lok Sabha constituency.

Seeking votes for her, he interacted with people during the campaign.

The BJP has fielded Ram Kripal Yadav against Misa Bharti for the third consecutive time. He had defeated her in both the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections, though the contest is expected to be tougher this time, given the caste equations in the constituency.

In the 2019 polls, Misa Bharti and RJD’s Surendra Yadav lost from Patliputra and Jehanabad by narrow margins of 39,000 and 1,700 votes, respectively.

The seventh and final phase of polling in Bihar will be held on June 1 across Patliputra, Patna sahib, Nalanda, Arrah, Karakat, Sasaram, Buxar and Jehanabad, while the results will be declared on June 4.
