Patna, December 4, 2025: RJD MLA from Gaya Kumar Sarvjeet on Thursday targeted the Depyu Chief Minister cum Home Minister Samrat Choudhary in the Bihar Assembly, sarcastically referring to him as Bulldozer Baba.
His comment came in the backdrop of a series of anti-encroachment drives being carried out in various parts of the state after the formation of the new government.
On the fourth day of the assembly’s winter session, the opposition strongly criticized the ongoing demolition action, alleging that the huts of the poor were being brought down under the guise of removing encroachments.
Kumar Sarvjeet’s criticism:
Raising the issue in the House, RJD MLA Kumar Sarvjeet said, “We see in the newspapers that journalists are messing with him. His father named him Samrat, but journalists call him Bulldozer Baba.”
Continuing his taunt, he added, “Journalists are tarnishing our friend’s character. He has just been given the Home Department and made Deputy Chief Minister, and you have already nicknamed him Bulldozer Baba.”
Kumar Sarvjeet Appealed to the Deputy CM, saying, “If you have become Deputy Chief Minister, please do not let yourself be known for demolishing the huts of the poor. This is my request.”
Samrat Choudhary’s retaliation:
Responding sharply to Kumar Sarvjeet, Samrat Choudhary rejected the allegation, saying that there is no Bulldozer rule in Bihar. It has only good governance rules.
“Nitish Kumar has established good governance in Bihar. There is neither the bulldozer issue nor is my name Bulldozer. I am known only as Samrat Choudhary. Be clear about that. The court has made all the decisions and arrangements.”
He added that the court has issued directions to district administrations across the state, and action is being carried out accordingly.
Action will be taken against illegal sand, land or liquor traders. No one will be spread under Nitish Kumar’s leadership.”
Defending the government, Choudhary said the NDA government also provides land to the poor and noted that the central government has already provided permanent houses to 60 lakh poor families.
