On the question of how many seats has party would contest, Manjhi clarified: We have not made any demand regarding seat-sharing. No number has been decided about how many seats are required. But it is expected that everyone will get respectable seats.”
When asked about the leadership of the NDA in Bihar, Manjhi responded firmly: There is no confusion. NDA constituents will contest the elections under the leadership of Nitish Kumar.”
Jitan Ram Manjhi confident of landslide victory of NDA in Bihar polls 2025:
Jitan Ram Manjhi expressed confidence that the NDA would secure a landslide victory, claiming: “This time, the NDA will win 225 seats, and the government will be formed again under the leadership of Nitish Kumar.”
Addressing internal issues, Manjhi raised concerns about the 20-point program stating: “We have been ignored in the 20-point program and have expressed our grief over it. This should have been discussed at the time of its formation. However, Sanjay Jaiswal and Dilip Jaiswal admitted that a mistake was made. Our party’s national president has recommended rectifications, and where needed, some names will be added this time.”
On RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s remarks regarding the toddy and liquor ban, Manjhi clarified: “ Nitish Kumar has already freed the toddy from the liquor prohibition. The liquor ban is not bad. We praise Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for reviewing the matter. It has been stated that those who drink a little should be let off after imposing a penalty. However, the officers send those to jail who are unable to pay the penalty. In this case, Nitish Kumar must be stricter with the system.”

Manjhi’s comments reflect both his loyalty to Nitish Kumar’s leadership and his call for internal course correction within the NDA framework ahead of the crucial elections.
