JDU’s Sanjay Kumar Jha criticized Tejashwi Yadav over corruption allegations and defended Nitish Kumar’s record.

Patna, April 19, 2025: Following sharp allegations from RJD leader and Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav accusing the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government of misusing public funds for electioneering, JDU working president and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Kumar Jha mounted a forceful counterattack, questioning Tejashwi’s moral authority to comment on corruption.

Sanjay Kumar Jha asked Tejashwi to explain the land for the job case first:

Sanjay Kumar Jha dismissed Tejashwi Yadav’s claims of financial mismanagement in the Mahila Samvad campaign, saying: “Tejashwi Yadav should first explain the investigation into the land-for-jobs case. How did he become a millionaire without doing anything? Has he ever clarified that?”

He called Tejashwi Yadav’s 30% commission allegation baseless and political posturing.

“You sit and say anything what does it matter? There’s no need to respond to such wild accusations,” Jha said.

Highlighting the development work done under Nitish Kumar’s leadership, Jha emphasized that the NDA government has delivered: “Every village now has access to water taps, roads, and electricity. That’s what our government has done.”

Sanjay Kumar Jha said Congress rally is meaningless:

On the INDIA bloc meeting and the visit of Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge to Bihar, Jha played down its significance, calling it a routine part of an election year.

“These leaders will come and go. The NDA government in Bihar is stable, and in 2025, we will contest the elections under Nitish Kumar’s leadership once again,” Jha said.

Jha also dismissed the Congress party’s relevance in the state: “There’s nothing left of Congress in Bihar. The people trust the double-engine government.”

The exchange underscores the rising political temperature in Bihar as the state gears up for the 2025 assembly elections, with both camps sharpening their rhetoric and posturing for a high-stakes battle.
