JDU steps up election preparations and holds strategy meet to counter opposition ahead of Bihar polls 2025.

Patna, May 22, 2025: With the Bihar Assembly elections scheduled for October-November, all political parties have gone into full campaign mode.

On Thursday, the Janata Dal (United) held a crucial strategy meeting at its state headquarters in Patna to chalk out its roadmap for the upcoming polls.

The meeting, chaired by JDU state President Umesh Kushwaha, saw the participation of several key leaders including national spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan, chief spokesperson cum MLC Neeraj Kumar, headquarters in-charge Chandan Singh, and all party spokespersons and panelists.

JDU leaders focused on strategy, women’s outreach and countering opposition:

The primary objective of the meeting was to finalize a comprehensive electoral strategy and assign responsibilities to party workers to ensure grassroots mobilization.

A special focus was given to developing a robust counter-narrative to the opposition’s growing criticism, especially on law and order issues raised by Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav.

Significantly, the party leadership also discussed the Congress party’s recent women-focused announcements, strategizing on how to neutralize their potential impact on women voters.

A tailored campaign is expected to highlight JDU’s existing welfare schemes while questioning the Congress’s promises.

Aggressive campaign on the cards:

According to an official, JDU leaders have reportedly been directed to highlight past criminal incidents under previous regimes to counter the opposition’s attacks.

The emphasis was on making the public aware of the facts and exposing the opposition’s political narrative.

Party sources suggest that JDU is preparing to launch an aggressive state-wide campaign in the coming days aimed at consolidating its support base and countering the Grand Alliance’s momentum.

As Bihar gears up for the elections, both the ruling NDA and the Grand Alliance (Mahagathbandhan) are confident of securing public support.

While the NDA reiterates its promise of stability and development, the opposition insists that Bihar is ready for change.

With the political temperature rising, the coming months are expected to witness intense campaigning, strategic alliances, and fierce rhetoric from all sides.
