Patna, October 16, 2025: The Janata Dal United (JDU) on Thursday released its second list of 44 candidates for the upcoming Bihar Assembly election 2025, featuring a mix of influential leaders and young faces from diverse backgrounds.
The party said the list has been prepared to fulfill the aspirations of the people of Bihar and strengthen the NDA’s position in the state.
JDU has announced a total of 101 seats:
Under the alliance, the JDU has been allotted 101 seats, and with this list, it has intensified its preparations for the polls scheduled on November 6 and 11, with results to be declared on November 14.
Among the notable names, Chetan Anand, a former RJD leader who recently joined the JDU, has been given a ticket from Nabinagar.
Other candidates include Dhirendra Pratap Singh alias Rinku Singh (Valmikinagar), Samridh Verma (Sikta), Vishal Shah (Narkatiaganj), Shalini Mishra (Kesaria), Sweta Gupta (Sheohar), Nagendra Raut (Sursand), Pankaj Mishra (Runnisaidpur), and Sudhanshu Shekher (Harlakhi).
The list also features Meena Kamat (Babubarhi), Sheela Mandal (Phulparas), Satish Sah (Laukaha), Anirudh Prasad Yadav (Nirmali), Ram Vilas Kamat (Pipra), Vijendra Prasad Yadav (Supaul), Sonam Rani Sardar (Triveniganj SC), Ashmit Rishidev (Raniganj SC), Sagufta Azim (Araria), Manzar Alam (Jokihat), Gopal Agrawal Thakurganj), and Saba Zafar (Amour).
From other districts, Kaladhar Mandal was given the ticket from Rupauli, Leshi Singh (Dhamdaha), former MP Dulal Chandra Goswami (Kadwa), Shambhu Suman (Manihari SC), Vijay Singh Nishad (Barari), Bulo Mandal (Gopalpur), Dr Lalit Narayan Mandal (Sultanganj), Shuibhanand Mukesh (Kahalgaon), Jayant Raj (Amarpur), Manish Kumar (Doraiya SC), Manoj Yadav (Belhar), Jama Khan Chainpur, and Bashsitha Singh (Kargahar) have been named.
Other candidates include Mahabali Singh (Karakat), Nagendra Chandravanshi (Nokha), Pappu Kumar Verma (Kurtha), former MP Chandeshwar Chandravanshi (Jehanabad), Rituraj Kumar (Ghoshi), Pramod Kumar Singh (Rafiganj), Manorma Devi (Belaganj, Vibha Devi (Nawada, Damodar Rawat Jhajha, and Sumit Kumar Singh (Chakai).
JDU included four Muslim candidates in the second list:
Significantly, the JDU has fielded four Muslim candidates in the second list—Manzar Alam, Jama Khan, Saba Zafar, and Shagufta Azim—after none were included in its first list.
