Patna, December 6, 2025: Janata Dal United (JDU) organized a grand felicitation ceremony at its Patna party office on Saturday to honour grassroots workers for their pivotal role in the party’s impressive performance in the recently concluded Bihar Assembly elections.

Throughout the event, JDU leaders presented certificates and mementos to those workers who travelled extensively from village to village and booth to booth, connecting voters and strengthening the party’s campaign at the ground level.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar reached the venue at 3 pm and personally encouraged the workers for their contribution.

Top leaders of JDU lauded the cadre:

JDU National Executive President Sanjay Kumar Jha and State President Umesh Kushwaha were prominently present.

Both leaders praised the unwavering dedication, discipline, and organizational capability exhibited by thousands of party workers.

Umesh Kushwaha, in his address, said the victory in the Assembly elections was not a sudden miracle, but the outcome of continuous and sincere hard work.

He announced that such felicitation events would be organized regularly to keep morale high and to motivate new workers to join the party.

Sanjay Jha said that no political party can win elections without committed workers.

He credited the party’s victory to the tireless booth-level efforts of JDU cadres.

“You showed courage and dedication even in difficult circumstances. Your role will be written in history,” Jha said.

He added that CM Nitish Kumar consistently highlights the importance of grassroots workers in review meetings, and this ceremony reflects that vision.

Focus on future elections and organizational expansion of the JDU:

During the event, discussions were also held, informally, on preparation for upcoming elections, further organizational expansion, and strategies to strengthen the JDU’s reach at the panchayat level.

The leadership indicated that, in view of the 2026 and 2027 election calendar, the process of expanding and fortifying the organization will be expedited.

Through this felicitation ceremony, the JDU made it clear that grassroots workers will remain at the centre of its political strategy, especially since their efforts once again played a decisive role in securing electoral success.
