JD(U) expected to announce the name of candidates for Lok Sabha poll 2024 on Saturday.

Patna March 23, 2024: JD(U) is expected to announce the name of candidates for the Lok Sabha election 2024 on Saturday.

A high level meeting is currently underway in the residence of Bihar’s chief minister  in Patna where CM Nitish Kumar is interacting with the candidates.

JD(U) likely to contest on 16 seats:

JD(U), under the umbrella of NDA, is contesting in 16 Lok Sabha constituencies in Bihar and the party has selected the candidates. The probable candidates are reaching the chief minister residence to get the ticket of the party.

JD(U) sources said that Chandeshwar Prasad is a probable candidate of Jahanabad, Kaushalendra Kumar (Nalanda), Lalan Singh (Munger), Ajay Kumar Mandal (Bhagalpur), Giridhari Yadav (Banka), Dr Alok Suman (Gopalganj), Rampreet Mandal (Jhanjharpur), Dulal Chandra Goswami (Katihar), Dinesh Chandra Yadav (Madhepura), Santosh Kushwaha (Purnea), Dileshwar Kamat (Supaul), Sunil Kumar (Valmikinagar), Lovely Anand (Sheohar), Devesh Chandra Thakur (Sitamarhi) and Vijay Laxmi (Siwan). 

Other NDA constituents will contest on remaining 24 seats:

Besides JD-U, BJP is contesting on 17 seats, LJPR on 5 seats, HAM-S on 1 and RLM on 1 seat in 2024 Lok Sabha poll in Bihar.
