Patna, April 12, 2024: JDU MLC and spokesperson Neeraj Kumar on Sunday launched a sharp attack on Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, demanding answers over the large-scale massacres that took place during the Lalu Prasad Yadav—Rabri Devi governments in Bihar between 1990 to 2000.
“Who was responsible for the 118 massacres in Bihar? Dalits, OBCs, EBCs and even people from the general category became the victims of those incidents. Who gave political protection to the culprits? The second generation of RJD leaders is now seeking votes, but who will answer for those incidents?” he said.
Neeraj Kumar highlighted the Nawada incident:
The JDU MLC particularly highlighted three incidents in Nawada and pointed out the incidents such as Shankar Bigha, Laxmanpur Bathe, Bathani Tola, Usri Bazar, Senari Rampur Chauram and others in Bhojpur and Jehanabad districts.
RJD hit back at Neeraj Kumar:
In response, RJD spokesperson Shakti Singh Yadav countered that JDU has no moral authority to speak on crime.
“I want to ask the JDU leader, who dissolved the commission formed to identify criminals? After Nitish Kumar came to power in 2005, he scrapped that commission. Instead of blaming the past, they should check NCRB data from 2005 to 2020 and answer for the rising crime during their own government,” Shakti Singh said.
