Jan Suraj Party announced the second list of 65 candidates for the Bihar polls.

Patna, October 13, 2025: The Jan Suraj Party has announced the second list of 65 candidates for the upcoming Bihar Assembly election 20205 on Monday.

The announcement was made by the party’s national president, Uday Singh, in the presence of Prashant Kishor.

Jan Suraj Party has vowed all castes and religions in the second list:

Among them, 20 candidates, including 19 from the Scheduled Castes and 1 from the Scheduled Tribes, were the candidates in the election.

“The party has fulfilled its promise to ensure representation for all sections of society.

“According to our commitment, we are giving representation to 14 candidates to the most populated Extremely Backward Castes, 10 candidates from Other Backward Castes, 14 from the minority communities, and the remaining are from the general category,” he said.

He added that under the Jan Suraj party’s policy to ensure participation of eligible SC/ST candidates even on general seats, one Scheduled Caste candidate has been fielded from Harnaut Assembly constituency.

Prominent names in the second list, including Dr Shahnawaz Alam, a well-known physician from Siwan, who will contest from Badhariya Assembly constituency, Abhaykant Jha, a senior lawyer from Bhagalpur, Neeraj Singh from Sheohar, Lalbabu Yadav from Nargatiaganj, Mantosh Sahani from Kalyanpur, Azam Anwar Hussain from Bajpatti, Rajiv Ranjan Singh from Sandesh, Janardan Yadav from Narpatganj, Ratnesh Thakur from Harlakhi, and Tanija Kumari from Islampur Assembly constituencies.

In the first list, Jan Suraj Party had announced 51 candidates, of which 49 were first-time contestants.

With this announcement, the Jan Suraj Party has so far declared 116 candidates for the Assembly Polls.

Prashant Kishor has already started the election campaign:

Jan Suraj founder Prashant Kishor has already begun his campaign from the Raghopur Assembly constituency in Vaishali district and is positioning the party as a third alternative in Bihar politics, challenging both the National Democratic Alliance and the INDIA bloc.
